Platform Bed Collections:
The Atlantis Platform Bed
Made of solid hardwood (Hevea brasiliensis, commonly known as Rubberwood or Parawood), this platform bed is offered in twin, long twin, full, long full, queen, and king sizes. Five decorative colors are available: cherry, maple, rosewood, pecan, and black (shown here in cherry and maple). The pine slats provide great ventilation for mattresses. These beds are 13.5" tall and have 8.75" of open space beneath them.

Long size note: for Long Twin and Long Full bed sizes, you will need to add one extra slat. Simply cut some 1x2 wood from your local hardware store to the width of your bed (39" for Long Twin, 54" for Long Full).

The Freewinds Platform Bed
The Freewinds platform bed is much like the Atlantis, but with a headboard and footboard added. This bed is also made of solid hardwood (Hevea brasiliensis, commonly known as Rubberwood or Parawood), with a pine slat rack. The headboard stands 29.75" tall from the ground. The footboard is a comfortable 19.75" tall.
Availability note: The only Freewinds Platform Beds still available are those shown in our clearance section.
Long size note: for Long Twin and Long Full bed sizes, you will need to add one extra slat. Simply cut some 1x2 wood from your local hardware store to the width of your bed (39" for Long Twin, 54" for Long Full).
Recommended Mattress: We recommend that your mattress not exceed 8" in thickness for the best aesthetic appearance. A mattress higher than 8" will cover up a major part of this bed's unique headboard. Many customers choose our Firm Talalay Latex Mattress with Diamond Quilted Mattress Case to go with this frame. Montera Low Footboard Bed
With sound structure and style, this contemporary platform bed is ideal for any home décor. It is made from Tropical Hardwoods, MDF and laminates. The Montera Low Footboard Bed comes with 14 slats, 4 support legs, and a center support rail, surpassing any mattress manufacturer's warranty for mattress sets. It comes in the Cappuccino finish shown here and has many various complementary furniture sets to match. See one such matching set, below. Minor assembly required.
This bed can be used with any standard sized mattress. However, use with a box spring is not recommended. The Montera Low Footboard Bed looks ideal with a mattress 8" in thickness. Soma Bed
The Soma bedroom is a great choice if you're in the market for a stylish and inexpensive center bedroom piece. This bed is available in three different finishes: Beechwood (shown in the photograph), Cherry, and Cappuccino. It is a strong, solid structure made from Rubberwood and Tropical Hardwoods. Each bed comes with 14 slats, and a center support rail, surpassing any mattress manufacturer's warranty for mattress sets. This bed could be used with box spring and mattress or just the mattress alone, depending on the final height you want to achieve. The Pacifica Platform Bed
The Pacifica platform bed carries a sleek, smooth and harmonious look. It is made from solid oak and comes in three sizes: Twin, Full and Queen. Although width and depth vary with size, the height of the bed is a constant 33" in all three sizes. The finishes are in warm and rich tones of Cherry Oak or Medium Oak. This bed comes with slats and can be used with a traditional mattress or even a futon. Not recommended for use with box spring.
