Had many dealings with my local furniture store who kept referring me to third-party outfits for my cushion issues. I purchased this mattress topper for my freshman daughter and it was worth every penny. Her roommates had purchased other mattress toppers, but they were cheaply made and nowhere near as comfortable. They are very jealous. I would recommend getting the organic cotton cover to protect and make the sleeping surface even better. Two of my friends sending their freshman off to college heard me raving about the mattress pad and they also purchased ones for their kids before they left for college. I recommend not opening up the packaging it comes in until you get to college. It will be easier to transport.
