What Type of Foam Should I Get?
FoamOrder.com offers several types of mattress toppers with different advantages. Let’s examine them to see which is right for you.
Polyurethane Foam Mattress Toppers
Made from the same foam used in our traditional mattresses, these foam toppers are a solid option, especially for those on a budget. Polyfoam is very breathable and has excellent motion response for those with mobility issues. However, they don’t last as long. We offer EverFlex™ mattress toppers for your regular bed and EconoFlex™ toppers for occasional-use beds (guest rooms, RVs, etc.).
Memory Foam Mattress Toppers
These high-end mattress toppers are the most popular design. They have excellent orthopedic properties for pain relief and low motion transfer so movement will seldom disturb your partner. The biggest possible downside is that memory foam retains heat; this can lead to “sleeping hot” and increase the chances of developing mold. We use 5 lb./ft.³ high-density memory foam to improve durability.
Organic Latex Foam Mattress Toppers
If you want to avoid chemicals while still getting a better night’s sleep, these all-natural mattress toppers are the best choice. They have good support, a hypoallergenic design, limited motion transfer and can last up to 25 years with proper care. On the other hand, they’re not as soft as other materials, and some people don’t enjoy the bouncier feel.
Egg Crate Foam Toppers
Want a natural topper that’s softer and has less bounce? Try an egg crate latex mattress topper. The “peak and valley” egg crate pattern makes a medium firmness topper feel like a soft firmness. It also improves airflow so you sleep cooler. The only drawback is that egg crate toppers are the most expensive option.
